There is no animal protection law in China, we see all kinds of animal cruelty all the time, including stealing dogs with iron chains or ropes from a moving motorbike. This case happend on a festive day during Chinese new year 2014, right in the middle of Shanghai, unbelievable.

A lady saw from her car a man driving a scooter with a chain dragging a dog along. With blood on the floor. The dog has no energy to resist. The lady drove her car up and stopped the man, asking him what he is doing . The man dropped the chain and dog and rode away quickly. The poor little dog was shivering and fell on the floor, could not even stand up to move anymore. The lady took the dog into her car and drove to a vet hospital, with blood all over her hands. Little Xiao Si is named for the day that she is rescued (Xiao Si means 4th). After six months of tender care, she now has regained her health and has very shiny fur. Who can give her a good life?

Health: Dewormed, deflead, vaccinated and neutered.

The first time I saw kitten Ignacio was an evening when I was arriving home: he was trying to get the attention of people in the parking lot of the building where I live. I was shocked to see such a small and lively white kitten in a parking lot where many vehicles and motorcycles where getting in and out all the time. I gave him food for a couple of nights, and he was always very happy and grateful to have food to eat ... but I knew that I had to take him out of there before he had an accident with some of those vehicles. Ignacio had a mark in the fur of his neck like if he had a collar before ... and, given that he is so sweet and friendly, my guess is that he had a home before but his owner decided to abandon him outside.

I rescued Ignacio on June 30, and I took him for a medical check up to a vet hospital near where I live. Currently Ignacio is living with me, and is very friendly and playful with my other rescued cats. Also Ignacio is very friendly with new people and visitors.

2014,Feb. 3 rd, this is also during chinese new year, xiao si is found in the street driven by a young man with her leg obviously hurt with blood, I stopped the young man and questioned him, that man just left xiao si and ran away.

xiao si has been taken to the vet for a check, she is general ok, not very serious.

now she has been recovered, done first shot, deworm and deflead.

Kevin's back legs are a bit disabled, but after being rescued it has improved a bit.

Beibei is a large two year old male dog. He has a loving and gentle personality. Neutered and vaccinated.

He once belonged to a bun shop owner in Jing'an District. His owner could no longer take care of him, so he let rescuers take him away to find him a new home.

Albert loves to go on walks with his rescuer.

Personality: Small kitten with a big personality! Florencio is very friendly and playful with other cats. Loves tuna!!! Very lovely and purrlicious too!

His story: Florencio is a cute small kitten who was abandoned in a small patch of garden located near the corner of Zhongxin Road and Huachang Road (Hongkou district).
Most people passing by that area normally saw small Florencio playing around in the garden, and many people left food and water for him regularly. However, the place was never safe for such a small kitten and there was always the risk that one bad person could hurt Florencio.
One volunteer, who lives nearby, started to feed Florencio regularly every day in order to keep him healthy and to win his trust little by little. Finally last October 21 the volunteer was able to take Florencio in a cat carrier and to pay a visit to the vet hospital with him.
At the hospital Florencio received a general medical check. His weight was ok, but it turned out that he had a mild case of infection in his skin, so he was hospitalized in order to receive proper medical care every day.
On October 28, 2013 Florencio was declared healthy and he received his first vaccination. On December 8 he got his second vaccination.

Joy & Mercy are brother and sister. Both of them were abandoned when they were just around 1 months. One of their younger brother left us because of the poor health. 

Mercy is a quiet & prudent girl. If stay with Joy, she will become as the queen. She likes to sleep on the back of Joy, which is her habbit from a baby kitten. Mercy is crazy with cat can, which will make her forget to be as a fair lady.
