Hello everyone!

Lovely Tigris was rescued the night of December 19, 2014. He is the son of an abandoned female cat that I feed every night at the edge of a fenced garden at a factory (located near the building where I live). Sadly he and his siblings were born in winter, and I am afraid that his siblings already passed away as I have not seen them in a long time (I saw they were 3, but I never had the chance to touch them or get close to them because of the fence of the garden where they lived).

The night of December 18 I noticed that this male kitten was very sick and was not eating at all the food I always leave for the abandoned cats in that garden, so the following night (Dec. 19) I waited for him and I tried my best to call him close to the fence ... luckily the kitten got close and I caught him. He was so sick that he did not even fight to be free. That night I kept him in my apartment as warm as possible and with plenty of food ... but he was so sick that he was not eating or drinking anything.

The following morning I took him to the vet hospital and he was diagnosed with a severe case of cat flu. According to the vet doctor the kitten would have died if he stayed one more day outside in that garden. His weight that day was only 600 grams (a kitten like him should be "at least" one kilo), he had cat flu, fleas and eramites ... so he got parasite control treatment immediately, and got hospitalized to help him recover from the cat flu.

At the beginning he needed to be force-feed, but after a couple of days he started to eat by himself and to recover. Now he is almost perfect, got his first vaccination short time ago, and has been gaining weight too!

The vet doctor told me that kittens with cat flu can die or get blind if they are not treated on time, so luckily he was rescued "just before it was too late" ... and now he looks gorgeous!
