近日，上海爱护动物人士从某伪动保团体处救出八十几只小奶狗，这些小狗们身体状况极其恶劣，没有基本的健康保障，全部挤在只有20多平的房间内，现场情况让人十分痛心！在大批以外籍人士为主的志愿者参与救助与护理工作两周后，不幸已有近一半的狗狗们死亡，剩下的一半小生命还在坚强的与病魔作斗争！与此同时，BFC正式接手狗狗们的医疗护理和领养事宜。这是一场持久战，后期医疗的庞大开销与几十只奶狗的生活照顾都是无法想象的巨大压力！我们在此呼吁，希望能有更多的好心人帮助这批小奶狗度过难关。

Shanghai's animal lovers recently rescued 80+ animals, mostly puppies, from a 'fake' animal rescue center.  Many expats in Shanghai started to volunteer with the puppy care, unfortuately many died and the other half are still fighting to live.  BFC has now taken over the medical care and adoption matters of the surviving puppies, and is now making a formal plea to the public to help these puppies fight through the ordeal.

上海所谓“中国最大救助中心”的真相 THE TRUTH BEHIND THE 'BIGGEST RESCUE CENTER IN CHINA'

有人会有无限的空间、金钱和精力接收上海所有被好心人救下的流浪动物吗，你相信吗？但是，在百度上号称中国最大救助中心的该不法团体却可以。他们声称自己有医生有义工可以提供廉价照顾，骗到好心人的钱财后，从此动物就下落不明，他们的基地从来不让人参观。前阵子，在又有人受骗后，大批动保人士在警察的介入下，从他们在上海狭小肮脏不堪臭味熏天的接收动物基地——一居民房里救出了一大批动物，其中大多数都是两周月不到的小奶狗，从而发现原来他们还打着救助领养的名义在收购，繁殖及买卖没有任何健康保障的狗，真是坏事做尽！该栋楼里还住了不少外籍人士，此事立即引起了上海英文媒体的关注，许多外籍人士纷纷参与到了救助行动中。

当时，一名好心人周先生把自己的仓库借出来临时放置这批狗狗，至少100名爱心人士陆续加入护理行列，每天几班人爱心接力的在照顾着这些小奶狗，周先生更是自己出资请兽医给狗狗做测试隔离打单抗等等。不幸的是，不法之徒本来就没打算要养久的狗狗，也就是所谓的“星期狗”（买时健康，很快就会生病死亡），在来到新地方后开始陆续发病死亡。

Do you believe that someone will have unlimited space, money and time to take in all the animals that need help?  Noone can, but `THE FAKE RESCUE CENTER CAN, for a small fee they will take in ANY  animals but noone is allowed to visit their shelters.  They are ranked #1 on baidu search and claims to be the biggest rescue center with good doctors and volunteers. Over the years, many expats have become victims too.  Recently, another victim went with many animal lovers to try and get her rescued dog back, and was told that the dog has died.  Upon police intervention, the volunteers found 80+ dogs cramped in a smelly space, many of them puppies.  The fake rescue center is also doing puppy mill business! The residential building has many expat tenants too, and the news quickly get picked up by English media in and outside China.

A nice Chinese guy Mr Zhou took all the dogs to his warehouse and tried his best to care for them.  Close to 100 expats volunteered round the clock to help with the care of these puppies for two weeks.  However, nearly half of these dogs slowly died of diseases which break all the volunteers' heart.

“请救救我们吧”PLEASE HELP US!

那些动物繁殖诈骗团体的无赖直到现在，还不断骚扰着好心安置狗狗的周先生，在网上四处散播谣言。虽然坏人还没有停止恶行，但BFC却决定正式接手幸存的47只狗的后续及所有救助工作。

其中2只成年狗毛毛和莎莎目前都已在BFC国际志愿者家中寄养，莎莎严重尿道堵塞，必须紧急手术，毛毛咳嗽得厉害，正慢慢调养恢复后找领养。截至12/14日止，45只小奶狗已有13只在BFC的安排下分别找到了领养或寄养家庭，这13名爱心人士大部分都是外籍人士，在狗狗可能还需要护理的的情况下同意把狗狗自费接到各自熟悉的医院，接受更好的照顾，爱心无国界，这应该是上海有史以来老外参与的最大规模救助动物行动。

The bad guys are still spreading rumors online and even threatened Mr Zhou by sending gangsters to his warehouose.  BFC cannot tolerate all these, and have taken over the adoption effort for the remaining 47 dogs.

Sha Sha and MaoMao the two adult dogs are now in BFC foster homes, Sha Sha has a blockage in his urinary tract and had to underwent emergency operation, MaoMao had a very bad cough in such bad environmennt and is now recovering, both need permanent home.  Up until 12/14, of the 45 puppies left 13 have found foster and adoption families, mostly expats, who will take the animals for further health care at their own expense.  Love without boundary,, this is perhaps the biggest rescue event to date in Shanghai which involved so many expats, all appalled to learn that such cruelty and ilegal website and operation can exist here for so long.

目前47只狗中除了以上幸运的15只外，有11只已在医院病逝或病情严重已给予人道安乐。其余21只奶狗中，四只目前没有状况希望赶快找到领养/寄养，其余17只处于细小/狗瘟/冠状危险期，仍需观察治疗。现在通过BFC已经安置在宠物诊所接收照顾，同时BFC将负责它们全部医疗费及后续花销的募集。BFC作为上海以外籍人士为主的动保组织，必将做到专款专用，把所有账目和最新情况在BFC网站和微信如实公布。

目前小奶狗排查及治疗费用已超过一万元，诊所给予优惠价，生病的17只狗狗每天每只也要100至200元的预算，此筹款以六万元为目标，BFC会在我们的网站和微信上发布所有小奶狗资料以及资金募集进展，敬请关注。

OF the 47 animals saved, except the lucky 15 mentioned above, 11 has either died or has to be put down at the hospital.  Of the remaining 21, 4 appear fine and need to find a good home ASAP,  the remaining 17 either have distemper/Parvo/Coronavirus or a combintion of these diseases. 

BFC is now making a fundraising plea for these little puppies.  Wih already a good discount, each puppy still needs around a budget of 100 to 200 yuan a day to sustain the treatment.  Our target for this fundrase is 60000 yuan, and BFC will make all the donations transparent on our website and on wechat.  Plus we will update the info of all the puppies very soon in a diferent posting.

有人说，世界上那么多可怜的人都还没办法顾到，还有精力去拯救动物？更有人说，这批狗狗多田园犬或品种不纯没有什么救助价值。其实不然，因为它们反映了上海无序繁殖无监管宠物买卖的问题，BFC决定在能力范围内给予它们最好的照顾，希望更多国人而不止是老外，都能正视动物在中国的生存状态。

随便问几个小朋友，如果老人跌倒在地你会不会去扶，他们的答案是父母说不可以，会麻烦，大家管好自己事就好。但我们相信，如果人人都能随时伸手去帮助周边有需要的人或动物，这个世界一定会更美好，因此这绝对不止是动物的问题，而是通过关爱动物，希望唤醒每个人的良知，和与生俱来的那份善良。

Many people question us: why are we helping animals when thereare many people that need here?  Some even say that these little puppies are of normal breed or mutts that have no rescue value.  Because of what they say, we feel a need to help them within our ability, as this is not just a case about the puppies but also expose the uncontrolled breeding and unregulated pet selling business here.  We hope that the case can get the attention of more Chinese to learn some facts about animal welfare in China.

We once asked some school kids if they will help an elderly person that falls to the ground, most say their parents forbid them to do so and to mind their own business, after a few bad media reports about helpers getting sued.  We believe that if we can all lend ahand to help those in need around us, whether it is a human being or an animal, it will go a long way to make us a better person and the world a better place.
