This is an English sherperd dog that lives in a shelter. This may be a long story, but we feel a need to share it, as MuMu is not an unusual case, many shelters may have too many animals to give them the care they deserve.  BFC volunteers decide to help her while delivering dog food to many shelters one weekend..

When we first met her, she was lying in a corner with no sunlight. She looked up with no hope in her eyes, as if I am only one of the passersby.

I saw at first the dirty fur: she has bad skin problems like many other dogs there. But when I was about to turn away, she started to chew on her limbs and body. As I heard stories of how the itchness have made dogs chew up themselves, the only thing that comes to my mind is to take her away from the shelter.

We found her skin problem is highly serious than we expected.There is barely no furry on her body.

6 of us drove away with her to a hospital nearby. We called her MuMu, hoping that she can get a lot of sunshine from now on.

Can you imagine a big English sherperd weighing only 20kg? She is under nourished for too long. She wanted to sit down on the hospital tile floor, but because she has no hair left and the floor is cold, she has to stand up again.

Since she has some diarrhea, we tested her for all the contagious diseases and lucky she is tested all negative. She is shaved and has her first bath in a long time, but this is all just the first step.

But her skin problem is very serious, she needs to be in the hospital for at least 2 months, hence we are asking for help to bring hope to her.
